All skaters must register (prior to beginning program) or renew (July 1) membership on an annual basis. Below lists the membership requirements, which are different based on which program the skater is participating.

LEARN TO SKATE MEMBERSHIPS
All Learn to Skate (LTS) skaters MUST register with Learn to Skate USA prior to registering for the Learn to Skate program with SCFSC. An annual membership is due upon beginning LTS and renewed annually (July 1).  The membership cost is $17. Register HERE for membership to Learn to Skate USA. You will need your LTS USA membership number when registering for the SCFSC program. LTS skaters ONLY need the Learn to Skate USA membership.

LTS+/FREESTYLE MEMBERSHIPS
LTS+/Freestyle skaters must have membership with SCFSC. Membership for LTS+/Freestyle is done on an annual basis by June 30th or when a skaters first enters the program. New members are welcome at any time during the year and their membership will run until the following June 30, at which time membership renewal is required. Current SCFSC members will be notified via email or the SCFSC website that the membership renewal process has begun, with specific instructions for registration and payment, as well as renewal due dates.  A $15 late fee will be added for any current skaters not renewed by July 1st.

SCFSC offers 5 types of membership for which are listed below.  All SCFSC memberships, except the Associate Membership, include membership to US Figure Skating. Timely membership renewal is vital to retain a skater’s membership status with the club. Home Club members receive 50% off multiple family memberships.

  1. LTS+/Introductory membership - $55 A Introductory/LTS+ membership is a transitional membership to support new skaters as they transition from LTS to freestyle and private lessons. This membership can be maintained for 1 full year before the skater moves to a Home Club Membership. Introductory members have some fundraising and volunteer requirements with the club.

  2. Home Club Member - $100 SCFSC is the skater’s primary club for contracting ice and is the club the skater represents at competitions and testing sessions. Home club members must fulfill volunteering, rink monitoring and fundraising requirements. There is a 50% discount for multiple Home Club family members.

  3. Associate Member - $75 SCFSC is the skater’s secondary club (U.S. Figure Skating membership is held with primary club) for ice and the skater represents another club for competitions and testing. Associate membership fee DOES NOT include a USFS Membership. Associate members have lower priority than Home Club members for testing and buying onto ice sessions, but higher priority over non-club members. Associate members are NOT required to fulfill SCFSC rink monitoring, volunteering or fundraising requirements.

  4. 4-Year Collegiate Member - $100 Available to skaters who are actively enrolled/attending college. It is a low cost option to maintain a USFSA number and membership with SCFSC. This is a one-time, 4 consecutive year membership that carries the same privileges as a home club. Collegiate members have a lower priority than Home Club members for testing and buying onto ice sessions, but higher priority over non-club members. Collegiate members are not required to fulfill SCFSC rink monitoring, volunteering or fundraising requirements. SCFSC pays for former SCFSC Home Club Members Collegiate Memberships, good for 4 years.

  5. Supportive Member - $25 Available to Board members who are not Home Club members and, at the discretion of the SCFSC Board, to other individuals who play a sustaining role in the club and wish to show support of the mission of the club. Sustaining members have full voting privileges but no skating privileges. Sustaining members are not required to volunteering,  rink monitor or fundraising requirements.
